Stagiul standard este remunerat si se desfasoara Full-Time pe o durata de 3 luni, timp in care persoanele sunt instruite si lucreaza in mod independent sau in echipa cu alti stagiari pe un proiect de cercetare si dezvoltare, sub indrumarea Directorului Tehnic.
Stagiarii sunt alesi in urma unui proces de selectie in mai multe etape: pe baza CV-ului, a testelor de aptitudini completate online si pe baza interviului. Candidatii ideali sunt studenti (minim anul III) la unul din urmatoarele profile: Calculatoare, Automatica, Informatica, Cibernetica, Matematica, Electronica, Telecomunicatii etc.

La inceput de 2012, decizia noastra sa continuam implicarea noastra in dezvoltarea comunitatii IT din Romania, este clara. Prezentarile din anul precedent, tinute in premiera in diverse orase, ne-au dat ocazia sa descoperim ce ii intereseaza cu adevarat pe specialistii din domeniu, cum ar trebui sa fie aceste interactiuni pentru a aduce un beneficiu clar participantilor, ce tematici si ce modalitati de organizare ar fi mai adecvate, etc.

Intalnirile Java din caravana tehnica Open Days Pentalog, au ajuns in decembrie in orasul Brasov, unde am avut placerea sa cunoastem un grup divers de programatori si o prezentare interesanta orientata pe bune practici si bazata pe studiu de caz, pe tema Managementul calitatii codului in Java. Prezentarea a inclus referiri la tool-urile si framework-urile anuntate dinainte, precum SVN, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, etc. si nu in ultimul rand despre Sonar, care reprezinta un punct clar de interes pentru cei din domeniu.

Intalnirea s-a vrut sa fie intr-un cerc restrans, pentru a permite o cat mai buna comunicare inclusiv la final, in discutiile libere de dupa prezentare. Dedicate in special persoanelor care cunosc mediul de programare deja, subiectele abordate au fost de un mare interes si pentru studentii care au vrut sa ni se alature. La sugestia domnului Prof. Univ. Lucian SASU de la catedra de Matematica-Informatica a Universitatii Transilvania din Brasov, cei cativa tineri interesati de subiect au putut sa vizualizeze ce inseamna mai concret sa lucrezi efectiv cu tehnologiile Java, cum arata problematicile concrete, la ce nivel ar trebui sa ajunga ei insisi in intelegerea si solutionarea cu succes a cerintelor unui proiect real.

Bogdan M, arhitect software in cadrul Pentalog care a impartasit ca prezentator experienta sa in domeniul Java, a pregatit o paleta generoasa de subiecte. Prezentarea a fost un bun punct de pornire pentru ca apoi, in cadrul discutiilor libere, participantii sa poata dezvolta o tematica anume. “Punctul forte al evenimentului l-a reprezentat sesiunea de dezbateri de dupa” – ne-a marturisit prin urmare si Bogdan. Cadrul destins in care s-a discutat le-a permis colegilor de breasla sa discute atat avantajele solutiei prezentate, cat si alternativele la aceasta.”

Participantii au avut un nivel de experienta diferit si ne-au dat ocazia astfel sa intelegem de la o editie-pilot expectantele lor fata de urmatoarele intalniri de profil. Odata incheiata aceasta prima prezentare, ca si organizatori ne-am setat cateva repere clare pentru a putea porni o serie intreaga de astfel de intalniri tehnice, care sa raspunda nevoilor voastre ca si specialisti in domeniu.

Pentru ca spatiul ne-a permis de aceasta data, ne-am bucurat inclusiv sa putem suplimenta locurile. In urma intalnirii din decembrie 2011, am primit deja impresiile celor care au fost prezenti in sala.

Cateva feedback-uri in urma evenimentului

Colectia de raspunsuri pozitive a fost impresionanta si vom cita o parte dintre acestea mai jos. Le multumim tuturor pentru participare, pentru intrebari si inclusiv pentru sugestiile atat de valoroase. Ele sunt de real folos in organizarea unor intalniri cat mai apropiate de nevoile specialistilor IT. Redam o parte din ele mai jos:

Nicolae T.: “Asa cum v-am comunicat si inainte de a pleca de la acest eveniment, personal, consider aceasta idee a voastra una foarte buna si poate, asteptata din partea mai multor companii. Consider ca este de laudat ca doriti sa impartasiti experienta voastra si altora, avand in vedere si ca nu ati vrut sa faceti ceva gen training unde de obicei participarea costa. Subiectele abordate le-am gasit destul de interesante, chiar daca unele dintre ele erau noi pentru mine. Sunt de parere ca intotdeauna mai exista ceva nou de invatat din experientele altora si personal, tintesc sa acaparez mereu cunostinte noi.(…)
M-ar interesa sa-mi trimiteti pe langa pozele de la eveniment si prezentarea (slideshow-ul) lui Bogdan.”

Alex B.: “Fiind pasionat de tehnologiile de pe platforma Java topicul prezentarii m-a atras instantaneu si am decis sa iau parte la eveniment pentru a invata lucruri noi pe care eu inca nu le-am folosit la potentialul lor maxim sau inca nu am avut ocazia sa vad cum sunt folosite acestea in contextul unei organizatii, echipe, proiect, etc.(…) As mai participa la astfel de evenimente care au scopul atat de a educa cat si de a creea o comunitate de oameni dornici sa-si impartaseasca cunostiintele cu altii.
In Romania prezenta JUG-urilor (Java User Groups) este extrem de rara (…). Initiativa Pentalog de a invita si alti oamenii din afara firmei sau studentii la astfel de evenimente este un lucru demn de apreciat si cred ca motivatia din spate este in folosul atat d-vs cat si celor care i-au parte la astfel de evenimente.”

Andrei G.: “Ideea mi s-a parut interesanta si inedita ca metoda de prezentare a firmei si atragere a interesului. Tema abordata a fost interesanta, dar mult prea larga pentru timpul alocat. Ma refer aici la concepte, nu neaparat tool-urile software folosite. Cred ca merita alocarea a ceva mai mult timp. Sau poate doar aboradarea unui singur aspect din lista. Persoana care a sustinut prezentarea a fost foarte bine pregatita. Din punctul asta de vedere, totul a decurs foarte bine – atat intrebarile au primit raspunsuri foarte bune cat si tema a fost bine acoperita – sunt familiarizat cu procesele prezentate si mi se pare ca s-au atins punctele cheie.”

Ionut V.: “Din punctul meu de vedere intalnirea a fost una reusita si m-as bucura daca aceste evenimente ar avea loc mai des. Cred ca este o idee buna si utila mai ales ca in Brasov nu prea mai exista alte initiative. Chiar daca unele aspecte au fost peste cunostintele unui student, pentru mine e placut si foarte folositor sa particip la astfel de evenimente.
Cred ca dl. arhitect s-a descurcat foarte bine deci impresia generala nu poate fi decat buna.(…) Felicitari pentru initiativa.”

Danut C.: “In legatura cu prezentarea de saptamana trecuta, sunt foarte multumit de modul in care s-a desfasurat si ma bucur ca am participat. Pentru mine a fost un castig sa aflu cum lucreaza o alta echipa de programatori Java si cu siguranta am invatat cateva lucruri pe care le voi folosi de acum incolo. Cred ca echipa Pentalog a avut o idee buna sa organizeze evenimentul asta, si aplaud initiativa, fiindca imi dau seama ca e nevoie de mai multa comunicare si mai multe schimburi de experienta in comunitatea Java din Brasov, cel putin.”

Nicolae M.: “Mi s-a parut interesanta prezentarea si m-a motivat si mai mult cu invatarea programarii in Java, cand am vazut cat mai am de studiat ca sa ajung sa inteleg cu totul materialele despre  care s-a discutat.”

Elena N.: “Tema abordata a fost una foarte interesanta, bine dezvoltata si structurata. Din pacate nu am lucrat cu nici una din tehnologiile prezentate, de multe din ele neauzind pana la momentul prezentarii. De cand am primit email pentru a participa la acest eveniment am incercat sa ma informez in legatura cu ce s-ar putea dezbate in acea seara, insa prezentarea a reusit sa ma lamureasca mai bine. Am ramas placut surprinsa de ce modalitati exista de a scrie cod corect si care indeplinesc regulile ce trebuiesc aplicate. Aceste modalitati usureaza munca unui programator si maresc performanta si buna functionare a unui program. Sunt interesata de participarea si la alte prezentari.”

Ce ne propunem pentru urmatoarele prezentari

Ne-am bucurat de feedback-ul generos si mai ales de sugestiile primite din partea participantilor, referitor la tematicile si organizarea urmatoarelor sesiuni. Din motive evidente de spatiu, vom concentra in cateva randuri ideile care ne-au atras atentia si pe care le vom dezvolta in viitorul apropiat:

Sesiuni interactive co-participative in care o parte din participanti sa poata prezenta la randul lor pe o tematica aleasa. Ideea de a include interventii din partea unor reprezentanti din diferite alte companii, am regasit-o si in alte orase in care am organizat seri “Open Days Pentalog”si vom analiza aceasta posibilitate in pregatirea evenimentelor din 2012.

Prezentari tot mai nisate pe nivelul de experienta: desi este un avantaj pentru juniori sau studenti de a avea un model prin participarea la seri tehnice pe subiecte tehnice aprofundate, planuim deja o serie de evenimente special dedicate nivelului de 0-2 ani experienta in folosirea tehnologiilor respective. Pentru persoanele care au deja peste 4-5 ani de lucru practic pe o anumita arie, provocarea o reprezinta ridicarea stachetei prin abordarea unor tematici avansate din punct de vedere tehnic.

Sesiuni de tip workshop: desi inca nu am anuntat oficial, avem un prim pilot realizat pe acest tipar la Sibiu si vom reveni cu feedback-uri si idei despre eventuale urmatoare sesiuni.

Pentalog Sibiu integreaza in departamentul Java, programatori care sa participe la multiple proiecte de dezvoltare si integrare pentru clientii companiei. Typical Duties:
- Develop and document the automated regression test systems for in-process QA testing;
- Design, develop and document the technical and functional test scripts;

- Execute Automated Test Scripts;
- Identify coding and development issues, enter them into the corporate defect tracking system and resolve the issue with programmers;
